Welcome to Elizabeth Clayton DO, Cranial and Physical Practitioner, with clinics in Axminster & Chardstock,  Devon.

Welcome to our practice where we offer gentle treatment for the whole family, from newborn to the elderly. We have a special interest in cranial-sacral treatment.

We take a holistic approach to healthcare focusing on the structure and function of the body so we consider, for example,  muscles, ligaments, nerves, bones, joints and the circulation of fluids as well as the Involuntary Rhythm throughout the body.

We hold appointments at Axminster Health & Wellbeing Centre, Chard Street, Axminster EX13 7DZ (www.axminsterwellbeing.com)

and in Chardstock, Axminster, Devon, EX13 7DD.

For appointments at either clinic please call 01460 220854 or 07773 122832.

There is no receptionist, so if we do not answer the phone in person please

leave a message and we will return your call.

Elizabeth Clayton DO qualified as an osteopath in 1990 and practised osteopathy for 29 years before retiring from the osteopathic register (GOsC) in February 2019.  She now practises as a Cranial and Physical Practitioner, using the skills she developed over the years, ie working in the same with way with the same ethics.

We use our hands to relieve pain, tension and stiffness, helping you to feel more comfortable and to help your whole body function more efficiently.  We pay attention to detail and aim to help people to help themselves, not just provide a quick fix.

We consider all aspects of a person’s welfare including physical and mental, exercise and relaxation, nutrition, body-use and posture, effects of physical and emotional stress.

The Axminster clinic is at the Axminster Health & Wellbeing Centre, Chard Street and there is a public carpark within two minutes' walk.

The Chardstock clinic is in the rural parish of Chardstock. It is approximately 10 minutes drive (3.5 miles) from Chard and 15 minutes (5.5 miles) from Axminster, with private parking.  Please note that the journey involves driving on narrow lanes.
